holyroodmr@gmail.com  was set up in 2020 to deal with general enquiries, communication generated via the website, and third parties such as West Lindsey churches festival. These emails are initially looked at by the bulletin team and passed to Fr. Robert if appropriate.

Grand Christmas Draw

14^th Dec St Thomas’s after Mass

 Tickets are now available, please take them & sell them to friends, family etc. The draw will take place at St Thomas More Caistor nearer to Christmas after a Saturday evening Mass.

1st prize   £100 2^nd prize £50 2 x 3^rd prizes of £25, plus many other prizes.

Caistor Coffee Evening

14^th December after Mass:  Anna (Holly) & Jean (Mary Gaughan’s daughter) are organising a joint British/Polish coffee evening on 14^th December after Mass, to include traditional home-made goodies from both countries (including mince pies, of course).  People can donate whatever they feel they can afford, with a suggested minimum donation of £5 per adult.  For this, they can have as many coffees/teas as they like, and as many cakes while stocks last. 

Christmas Mass times

Coffee Morning

Will take place Dec 14^th in the Holy Rood schoolroom after Mass. We need donations of bottles, chocolates etc for the Tombola & nearer the date cakes for the cake stall. Kevin is looking for ideas for stalls & volunteers to run them on the day. Please let me or Kevin know of any suggestions you have for this. A list for volunteers will be placed in the Church nearer the time.

Food bank

Dried & Tinned goods are always needed to assist those in need.

Anna (Holly) & Jean (Mary Gaughan’s daughter) are organising a joint British/Polish coffee evening on 7^th December after Mass, to include traditional home-made goodies from both countries (including mince pies, of course).  You can donate whatever like, with a suggested minimum donation of £5 per adult.  For this, you can have as many coffees/teas as you like, and as many cakes while stocks last.

Month of the Holy Souls

November is the traditional month we pray for the departed. Next weekend envelopes will be available for you to enclose lists of your deceased relatives & friends you wish to remember with a donation towards the Masses celebrated in November. These will be placed in  a box that will remain on the Sanctuary throughout November.

John Bradley RIP

Sadly John Bradley has passed away. John successfully ran the Aston Arms for over 30 years until retiring due to ill health. He was a pillar of the Market Rasen community. John had very strong views on how a local pub should be run and hence a warm welcome was always there when arriving.  He shall be missed by his family and his many friends..

John’s funeral service will be held at St. Thomas church, Market Rasen on Monday 19th August at 12pm, followed by a gathering at the Aston Arms.

Please hold John and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

John Bradley RIP
