Becoming a Catholic? If you are interested in becoming a Catholic (or know someone who is) or want to find out more about the Catholic faith, we are hoping to start a new course in September for adults. Please either speak to Fr David after Mass, or E-mail him at holyroodchurchmr@outlook.com

Join the diocese for a special Young Adults’ Pilgrimage to Rome between Friday 5th and Monday 8th September for the Canonisation of Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati.  The Pilgrimage is open to anyone aged 18-35, costing £475 per person based on sharing a room, with financial help available.  For more information and to book a place email: vocations@dioceseofnottingham.uk

On Saturday 6th September the annual UK March for Life 2025 will take place in London. Join with thousands of others from all over the UK who believe that all life is sacred, as we march through the streets of London to the Houses of Parliament.  The Walk is peaceful, legal and always spiritually uplifting.  There will be a coach from Nottingham, picking up from Good Shepherd Arnold and Cathedral Derby Road, costing adults £30, unwaged including students £15, under 16s £10.  To book on the coach or for more information contact Marie (marielangford@live.co.uk, 07948 151264).  ”Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Day Pilgrimage to Birmingham. A coach will be leaving from Louth church on Friday 25th of July at 7.30 am. There will be a visit to the Shrine of St John Henry Newman followed by the Oratory,  with Holy Mass there at 12.30pm. Picnic lunch or buy snack out. Afternoon visit to St Chad’s Cathedral, and time permitting, visit on the way back to Mount St Bernard Abbey. Cost is £35. What is God? Philosophical, Christian and Islamic Approaches, at the Christian Heritage Centre, between Friday 22nd and Monday 25th August.  This annual course in partnership with CEPHAS will look at the nature and knowledge of God from a pre-religious, philosophical understanding, before comparing the Islamic concept of God with the Christian, leaning on Saint Thomas Aquinas’ elaboration of the Trinity and the Incarnation.  For more information and to book: https://christianheritagecentre.com/events/what-is-god/

holyroodmr@gmail.com  was set up in 2020 to deal with general enquiries, communication generated via the website, and third parties such as West Lindsey churches festival. These emails are initially looked at by the bulletin team and passed to Fr. David if appropriate.
