Hello again! and welcome to this week’s bulletin. The Mass times are as follows:
John Bradley RIP
Sadly John Bradley passed away last weekend. John successfully ran the Aston Arms for over 30 years until retiring due to ill health. He was a pillar of the Market Rasen community. John had very strong views on how a local pub should be run and hence a warm welcome was always there when arriving. He shall be missed by the many friends he had.
John’s funeral service will be held at St. Thomas church, Market Rasen on Monday 19th August at 12pm, followed by a gathering at the Aston Arms.
Please hold John and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Parish BBQ
Thank you !
A big thank you to everyone who attended the BBQ. In particular many thanks to those that prepared, cooked and served the food… especially those getting up at 4am to start the food preparations. Well done to all those who helped with the set up and take down of the tables and chairs. Clearly, a lot of effort is needed to make such days special and memorable. I’m sure you’ll join me in giving a big pat on the back to all those who helped. It was good to see so many parishioners at the event. We raised in the region of £400 , which will be put towards the running costs of the Parish.
Parish email Address
We have a new parish email address. Please use the following email address from now on.

After many years of promoting, organising & running the Christmas Raffle, Mike Lawrence Is standing down. We thank him for everything he has done to raise funds for the parish and wish him well in his ‘retirement!’. Therefore, we are looking for someone to take this role on from Mike commencing with this year’s Christmas Raffle. Please see Mike or me if you are willing to do this on behalf of the parish.
