Bulletin 29th July 2023

Welcome to this week’s bulletin. Let’s start with the Mass times…

Please Note…

If you wish to use the toilets in the Schoolroom before or during Holy Mass please see Keith or Pauline who will be in the Narthex. Recent incidents have led to damage to property. Sadly the Schoolroom can no longer be unlocked & unattended during Mass.

Also, in this warmer weather, if you prefer to sit during Holy Mass rather than knell or sit, then please sit. If you feel faint or would like some water Keith or Pauline will bring you some water to drink.

Father Kevin Gradwell

I conveyed your prayers and condolences to the family of Father Kevin. They very much appreciated them and send their best wishes to each and everyone here.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord & may perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace Amen.

Food Bank

Tinned and dried goods are always needed to help those struggling at this time especially during the winter months. Your support is much appreciated, goods can be placed in the basket at the back of the Church. See Pauline if you have any questions or need more information.

Zumba Gold Classes

Several of us had a fabulous time at the Zumba class this week. The first class was at 7.15 on Tuesday night. What great fun it tuned out to be!!!  What’s more we all made it to the end of the class without any limbs falling off.  Thank to you to Patricia D for setting all this up.

See below for next available dates.  Please note your first class is free – it’s a taster to see if you like it – after that, the charge will be £5 per person per session. Well worth it!

Zumba Gold is fun, dance-based exercise designed for people with limited mobility. We are hosting  Zumba Gold sessions in the School Room, on the following dates:

Tuesday 1st August from 7.15pm to 8pm

Thursday 3rd August from 10.30am to 11.15am

Tuesday 8th August from 7.15pm to 8pm

Thursday 10th August from 10.30am to 11.15am

If you’d like to come along and join the fun, please sign the list at the back of the church as spaces are limited.

Stars In Our Eyes

Well here go again!  We have our talented and lovely Gail Razzell and daughter Nina appearing in the play Curtain Up at the Broadbent Theatre in August.

Following up from their fabulous performances in the very successful Wizard of Oz panto- which many of you attended – Gail and Nina have leading roles. Rehearsals are well underway and this will be a fabulous night out. Watch this space for more details. You will see posters in the schoolroom and at the back of the church with the details.

If you are interested in going then please let Keith know and we can se if we can organise a group as we did for the panto.

In November the Broadbent are putting on Rinkly Rockers, we will also have representation in the cast for this play which looks to be hilarious.

Thank you for all your help and support.

God Bless,

Fr. Robert
