Confessions after Mass & by appointment

Use of the Narthex at the Sunday 11.30am Mass at Market Rasen:
The Narthex is reserved for First Aid Support and for young children and their family/guardians should they wish to use it. All other congregation members should use the pews.

Schoolroom Keys: The schoolroom key safe has now been installed. The appropriate parties have been informed.
Schoolroom Hire: We are currently taking new bookings from various groups. Mary Q and Keith are updating the existing T&Cs and Booking forms. Please see either Mary or Keith if you would like to book the schoolroom for an event. A web page dedicated to the schoolroom will be included on this website in the next 2 weeks.
The Reader, Flower, and Coffee rotas have now moved to the Rotas page on this website.
Parish E-Mailing List: We have set up a new parish E-mail list which allows those who join to be kept up-to date with information in the parish via E-mail. It is a versatile tool and will allow (in time) various groups within the parish to have their own sections. If you would like to join, please just send an E-mail with “Parish List” in the subject line to holyroodchurchmr@outlook.com (You can leave at any time).
Rosary: The Rosary is said before the 10am Mass at Holy Rood on Tuesdays, all are welcome to join in.
Mass Intentions: If you want to have a Mass offered for a particular intention, we will soon have “Mass intention Envelopes” at the back of each Church. However, until they arrive just ask Fr David if you want a Mass said. The Diocese recommends a donation of £10 for a Mass intention.
Holy Rood Church open Holy Rood is open most days from 8:00am to 7pm so that people can pop in and pray. Please do avail yourself of the opportunity to be with our Lord.
Food Bank: Tinned & dried goods are always needed to help those families who are struggling at this time of year. If you would like any further information please have a chat with Pauline.
What‘s happening out and about?

What is God? Philosophical, Christian and Islamic Approaches, Friday 22nd until Monday 25th August this annual course in partnership with CEPHAS will look at the nature and knowledge of God from a pre-religious, philosophical understanding, before comparing the Islamic concept of God with the Christian, leaning on Saint Thomas Aquinas’ elaboration of the Trinity and the Incarnation. On Saturday 6th September the annual UK March for Life 2025 will take place in London. Join with thousands of others from all over the UK who believe that all life is sacred, as we march through the streets of London to the Houses of Parliament. The Walk is peaceful, legal and always spiritually uplifting. There will be a coach from Nottingham, picking up from Good Shepherd Arnold and Cathedral Derby Road, costing adults £30, unwaged including students £15, under 16s £10. The Martyr-Saints of the North-West, Friday 12th until Sunday 14th September is a weekend studying some of the Reformation-era martyrs of the North-West region. Part-retreat, part-biographical, the weekend will be led by Monsignor John Allen of Salford Diocese, who has recently published a history of the diocese with a foreword by Eamon Duffy.
