What‘s happening out and about?

The Abortion Recovery Care and Helpline (ARCH) is starting a Post Abortion Women’s Support Group from April in central Nottingham, for women affected by abortion.  Run by a qualified therapist, the group offers a safe space to meet with other women in a supportive and helpful way, with confidentiality, no judgement, and free of charge.  If it has been at least six months since your experience and you would like more information email clare@archtrust.org.uk including a mobile number (ARCH and abortion will not be mentioned in any texts).

Forming Catholic Student Leaders: Two summer courses exploring faith, ethics and leadership for sixth form students, offered by the Christian Heritage Centre at Stonyhurst. Could you be our next Archives Volunteer?  The Archives Department is hosting an Open Day at the McGuinness Centre, Brooklyn Road, Nottingham NG6 9ES on Friday 17th April between 2.00pm and 6.00pm.  Are you an organised individual with an interest in Church history, genealogy, and basic Microsoft skills?  The Archives Department 1would love to see you there!

Called to Love,  2 – 3 May 2026 A retreat for singles, dating and engaged young adults who want to think more deeply about relationships and the call to marriage. A relaxed weekend with input, prayer, discussion and social, as well as the opportunity to meet like-minded others! This year’s retreat will have as its theme masculinity and femininity. Most Holy and Undivided Trinity Parish, Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Immingham is seeking to appoint a part-time Parish Administrator to support the smooth running of the busy parish office.  The role will be for 9 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9.00am – 12.00 noon) at £14.17 per hour, and based in Grimsby.  The successful applicant will undertake duties including parish administration, financial tasks, and supporting the parish priest, with good IT skills and able to work independently.  To request an application form, email office@dioceseofnottingham.uk  The closing date is Friday 24th April at 9.00am.

holyroodmr@gmail.com  was set up in 2020 to deal with general enquiries, communication generated via the website, and third parties such as West Lindsey churches festival. These emails are initially looked at by the bulletin team and passed to Fr. David if appropriate.
